BRIDGEPORT, Pa. —  Goalkeeper West Temkin (So., Alamo, Calif./Campolindo) of No. 7-ranked Princeton University collected 25 saves during a 2-1 weekend in New England for the Tigers to collect October 30 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Defensive Player of the Week status.

The award marks the seventh weekly honor bestowed on Temkin following prior Rookie (October 17, October 31, November 28) and Defensive Player (October 3, November 28) laurels last season prior to picking up September 11 Defensive Player kudos earlier this year.

Following a 14-7 defeat of No. 19 Brown University in Providence, R.I., on Saturday, October 28, to open the weekend, Temkin turned in a 16-11 win with 13 saves at Division III No. 5 the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Mass., later in the day.

Facing nemesis/No. 10 Harvard University in Cambridge on Sunday, October 29, he stopped 12 shots in a 14-13 sudden victory overtime loss to the host Crimson.
