BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Yurian Quinones (Fr., Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) registered seven goals, two assists and four steals during a 1-3 weekend for the No. 18-ranked Princeton University Tigers at the SoCal Invitational in Los Angeles, Calif., hosted by Loyola Marymount University and the University of California-Los Angeles.  For his performance, Quinones claims notice as the September 30 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Rookie of the Week.

Competing at LMU’s Burns Aquatic Center, the Tigers fell to No. 5 the University of Southern California (14-6 L), host/No. 10 Loyola Marymount (15-13 L) and Division III No. 1/No. 18 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (8-5 L) to go along with a 12-10 defeat of the United States Air Force Academy.

Quinones accounted for a pair of goals with an assist and a steal versus USC on Friday, September 27, prior to chipping in a steal against LMU and three goals with an assist and a pair of steals in upending Air Force on Saturday, September 28.  In the weekend finale on Sunday, September 29, he pumped in a two goals in aiding Princeton’s cause against Pomona-Pitzer.
