LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Red Flash of Saint Francis University were able to put an end to their losing streak after defeating Mount St. Mary’s University, 16-10, in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) action at Bucknell University’s Kinney Natatorium. Saint Francis wasn’t able to close out the weekend with a win as as No. 19-ranked Princeton University slipped past the Red Flash, 12-5.

Against Mount St. Mary’s, the Red Flash were led on offense by Emese Szucs and Kimberly Frostad who both scored four goals on a combined eleven shots. Addison Williams had three goals for Saint Francis, while Maysen Seile and Kayla Rhoads both posted two. Haiden Lang and Abbie Carter each accounted for single strikes to round out the scoring for the Red Flash.

Williams had a team-high five exclusions drawn with the Red Flash having 14 exclusions drawn in total.

Grace Raquel got the start in net for Saint Francis and made 12 saves to help lead the Red Flash to victory.

Saint Francis improves to 6-0 all-time against the Mounties and 2-0 this season, with the Red Flash outscoring Mount St. Mary’s 35-14 in the two victories after claiming a 19-4 victory on January 30 at Bucknell.

The Red Flash were not able to have the same scoring output against Princeton.

Frostad notched a pair, while Taylor Halbauer, Carter and Williams each had one goal for Saint Francis.

On defense, Seile racked up four steals and Isabel Lumley netted seven saves.

The Red Flash now fall to 0-2 against the Tigers this season following a 10-3 loss on February 13 at Princeton.
