LORETTO, Pa. — The Saint Francis University water polo team added to its ever-growing number of players for the upcoming season with the inclusion of Carissa Semple.

Semple hails from the town of Craven located in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The attacker has a list of impressive accomplishments. In 2018, she ranked 15th in the nation in scoring and because of her high volume output, she was named 2018 Saskatchewan Female Player of the Year. Semple was a 2018 gold medal winner for the Canadian National League 19U. Additionally, she was a two-year starter for 19U Team Saskatchewan.

Coach Jay O’Neil is ecstatic to obtain Semple’s talents, “We are very excited to have Carissa joining the Red Flash Family.  Carissa is a tough, quick, and talented player who will have an immediate impact. Her playing style and international experience fits very well into what we are building here at Saint Francis.”
