BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Caylah Olay (Fr., Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union) of Saint Francis University scored eight times, dished out a pair of assists and chipped in two steals and a field block during a 2-2 weekend for the Red Flash at the 2023 University of Michigan Wolverine Invitational to earn recognition as the March 6 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie of the Week.

A two-time Rookie of the Week selection following previous honors on February 6, Olay tallied a goal and a steal in a 10-9 overtime win against Bucknell University in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) competition on Saturday, March 4, to open the weekend. 

Following a 10-1 loss to No. 20-ranked San Jose State University to cap off action on the first day of the invitational, she returned to the pool on Sunday, March 5, to rack up three goals, two assists and a steal in a 16-8 doubling of Salem University.  

In the weekend finale, she notched her best performance with four goals and a field block in a 19-5 loss to defending CWPA Champion/No. 12 Michigan in CWPA competition.
