BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Heather Jacobson (So., San Jose, Calif./Presentation) made 18 saves in a pair of game for No. 25-ranked Saint Francis University at the Villanova University Invitational to earn recognition as the March 8 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week.
She turned aside 10 shots in a 13-12 loss to the host Wildcats on Saturday, March 6, prior to making eight stops in a 10-9 defeat of Salem University on Sunday, March 7.
SFU finished the weekend 3-1 as the Red Flash also topped Mount St. Mary’s University (17-7 W) and the Virginia Military Institute (16-12 W)
