BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Freshman Jenna Handali (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) contributed five goals, six assists and three steals during a 2-2 opening weekend for Saint Francis University at the Hoosier Invite hosted by Indiana University.  For her performance, she earns status as the February 8 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Player and co-Rookie of the Week.

Handali shares Rookie of the Week honors with classmate/teammate Emese Szucs (Budapest, Hungary) who recorded seven goals, five assists and four steals over the same stretch.

Competing against Salem University and the host/No. 13-ranked Hoosiers, Handali aided the Red Flash in downing the Tigers (12-8 W OT, 12-7 W) and battling Indiana (16-2 L, 17-8 L).

On Saturday, February 6, she started his collegiate career by finding the back of the cage twice and dishing out an assist in a 12-8 overtime defeat of Salem.  Handali added a pair of drawn exclusions in a 16-2 loss to Indiana in the nightcap.

She notched a hat-trick with five assists and three steals on Sunday, September 7.  Facing Salem, she tossed in three markers, assisted on another and drew an exclusion during a 12-7 victory over the Tigers.  In the Red Flash’s concluding game of the weekend, she dished out four assists and snagged three steals in a 17-8 loss to the Hoosiers.
