BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Saint Francis University’s Taylor Halbauer (Jr., Edmonton, Alberta/Mother Margaret Mary) registered 14 goals, eight steals, 13 drawn exclusions and five field blocks during a 4-0 season-opening weekend for the Red Flash at the Bucknell University Invitational to earn status as the January 31 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.

Halbauer, who claims her inaugural Player of the Week nod,  opened the weekend with five goals and seven drawn exclusions in a 12-8 defeat of St. Francis College Brooklyn on Saturday, January 29.  She wrapped up the day with five more goals in a 10-3 victory versus the Virginia Military Academy.

On Sunday, January 30, she notched her third hat-trick of the weekend with a trio and four steals as the Red Flash got by Gannon University, 13-11.  In the finale, she registered a goal as Saint Francis summited Mount St. Mary’s University, 19-4.
