PRINCETON, N.J. — Luka Urosevic was the leading scorer for Mount St. Mary’s with a hat-trick as as the Mountaineers dropped a 16-6 game versus Saint Mary’s University of California at the 2026 Princeton Invitational hosted by Princeton University. The loss drops Mount St. Mary’s record to 2-3 in 2026.
In the first quarter, the Mount was held scoreless until there were two minutes left in the first quarter as Giannis Skliras found the back of the net. The Mountaineers added another marker with approximately 10 seconds left in the first quarter as Will Matthews sneaked a shot past the Gaels’ goalkeeper off an assist from Aaron Tarr.
Trailing 5-2 at the commencement of the second quarter Urosevic dented the twine off an assist from Nathan Valentine to acount for the Mount’s third marker. Skliras struck against for the Mountaineers courtesy a ricocheted shot that came from Aleksandar Radosavljevic.
The Mount opened the second half with another goal from Urosevic halfway through the third quarter. Urosevic scored the final goal for the Mount side to complete a hat-trick before the Gaels held the Mountaineers scoreless for the rest of the game in collecting a 16-6 victory.
Skliras had two goals and Matthews recorded one in support of a seven save effort by netminder Ivan Morales.
