Both teams scored three times in the third quarter. The Presidents goals came from Halle (two) and Ratcliff to leave the Red & Black trailing 16-10 entering the final eight minutes of regulation.

Despite outscoring the Tigers in the final quarter 4-3, with three goals from Halle and one from Ratcliff, the Presidents were unable to pull off a comeback large enough to obtain the victory over Salem.
