BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Adam Hudson (Fr., Chicago, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) of Salem University posted seven goals with two assists and five steals during a 3-0 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC)-West Region weekend at Connecticut College’s Lott Natatorium to earn recognition as the October 21 MAWPC Rookie of the Week.

A first-time honoree and the second Tigers’ player to earn Rookie of the Week laurels in 2019 following Julen Alonso (Fr., Madrid, Spain/IES Beatriz Galindo), Hudson opened play in the Constitution State by scoring twice with an assist and two steals in a 16-8 defeat of the host Camels on Saturday, October 19.  He added a goal with an assist, a drawn ejection and two steals in a 20-14 defeat by McKendree University later in the day.

On Sunday, October 20, he connected on four-of-four shots and grabbed a steal in a 24-13 win against Washington & Jefferson College to help Salem clinch the No. 3 seed for the upcoming MAWPC-West Championship hosted by Gannon University at the Hallman Aquatics in Erie, Pa., on Saturday-Sunday, November 9-10.
