BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Salem University’s Ivan Zivojinovic (Fr., Belgrade, Serbia) totaled 12 goals, nine assists, two steals and four earned ejections during a 3-1 weekend at McKendree University to earn status as the October 11 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) co-Player of the Week.

He shares the award with Viktor Jovanovic (So., Calgary, Canada/E.P. Scarlett) who tied for the team lead with four goals across games versus No. 16-ranked Fordham University and Wagner College.  He also stoked the offense by drawing 10 ejections.

Competing at McKendree in the final regular season weekend of MAWPC-West Region competition, Zivojinovic posted two goals and an assist in a 14-6 loss to the host Bearcats on Saturday, October 9, to clinch the No. 3 seed for the upcoming MAWPC-West Championship hosted by Salem.

He added three goals, four assists, a steal and an ejection drawn in a 14-11 non-conference victory over Mercyhurst University prior to adding three goals and an earned ejection in an 18-12 defeat of Augustana College.

Zivojinovic wrapped up the weekend on Sunday, October 10, by depositing four goals, handing out four assists, grabbing a steal and drawing a pair of ejections in an 11-10 non-conference victory over Gannon University.
