BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Milos Popovic (Sr., Nis, Serbia/Gimnasium 9 May) of Salem University registered 15 goals, five assists, eight earned ejections and five steals during a 1-2 weekend for the Tigers at home during the 2019 Division II Eastern Championship in claiming honors as the October 28 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Player of the Week.

He opened the weekend with six goals, two assists and two ejections drawn in a 17-14 loss to McKendree University prior to notching five goals, three ejections drawn and three steals in a 21-7 victory over Mercyhurst University.

Popovic wrapped up the event by putting up four goals, three assists, three ejections drawn and a pair of steals in a 14-13 overtime loss to Gannon University.

The award marks the fifth weekly honor bestowed on Popovic during his intercollegiate career as he previously claimed recognition as the MAWPC Rookie (October 24, 2016) and Player (September 25, 2017; October 16, 2017; October 29, 2018) of the Week.
