BALTIMORE, MD — Johns Hopkins University will induct the 26th class of inductees into its Athletic Hall of Fame with ceremonies scheduled for Friday, April 17, 2026. The 12-member class raises the total number of members in the Johns Hopkins Athletic Hall of Fame to 216 since the first class was inducted in 1994.  Four individuals will be deferring their official induction until the next class of inductees is honored in 2028.

The group will be honored at induction ceremonies scheduled to take place at 6:00 pm in the Bloomberg Student Center on the Johns Hopkins campus.  Festivities will include a cocktail reception and the induction ceremony with an informal post-induction reception; the class will also be honored at the Johns Hopkins-University of Maryland men’s lacrosse game at Homewood Field on Saturday, April 18.

Among the 12 inductees is JHU All-America water polo player Sean McCreery ’08.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of XtendOps, the Pleasant Hill, Calif., native De La Salle High School graduate was a standout on the JHU water polo team from 2004-2007 and a three-time Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) National Player of the Year (2005, 2006, 2007) – becoming the only player in Division III history to earn National Player of the Year honors three times.

Additional honors include:

  • Three-time First Team ACWPC All-American. Just the seventh player in JHU history to earn All-America honors three times and one of just two to earn first team honors three times.
  • Ranks fourth in JHU history with 310 goals. Also ranks 10th in school history in career points (310) (assists not available until after he graduated). Is one of only four players, and the last, to score 300+ goals.
  • Boasts three of the top eight single-season goal totals in program history (93, 90, 82).
  • Led Johns Hopkins to a 73-53 (.579) record, including a then program-record 24 wins in 2005, playing against predominantly Division I opponents. The 24-win season was the first 20-win season in program history and remains the second most wins ever. Helped JHU to three straight Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Eastern Championships.
  • Three-time CWPA All-South selection, including first team honors in 2005 and 2007. One of just three players in program history to earn All-South honors three or more times. Three-time CWPA Division III Eastern All-Tournament Team selection and named Tournament MVP in 2006.
  • Led Johns Hopkins to its first number one national ranking in 2005. JHU was ranked number one in the nation 10 times between 2005 and 2007 and finished the 2005 season ranked number one in the nation.

  • Hannah Kronick – Class of 2015 – Women’s Soccer (Deferring Induction Until 2028)
  • Ernie Larossa – Associate AD/Director of Athletic Communications
  • David Maldow  – Class of 2010 – Men’s Tennis
  • Annie Monagle  – Class of 2014 – Women’s Cross Country & Track
  • Bill Nolan – Class of 1974 – Men’s Lacrosse & Football
  • Brian Youchak – Class of 2010 – Baseball (Deferring Induction Until 2028)
