PRINCETON, N.J. — Jovana Sekulic and Lindsey Lucas were named to the 2023 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women’s Water Polo Championship All-Tournament First Team.

Sekulic scored twice and drew six ejections in the Tigers’ two contests. Lucas made 15 saves as the No. 8-ranked Tigers terminated No. 3 the University of California’s 2023 season with an 11-9 victory prior to making nine stops in an 18-8 semifinal loss to No. 2 the University of Southern California.

Sekulic and Lucas are the first two players in program history to be named to the NCAA All-Tournament First-Team. Katie Rigler (2012, 2013) and Cutino Award recipient/two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Ashleigh Johnson (2015) were second team selections.

The Tigers finished 30-4 overall becoming just the third team in program history record at least 30 victories (2014, 2015). The Tigers reached the national semifinals for the first time ever and became the first non-California school to make the Final Four in a non-COVID-19 impacted season since the University of Michigan in 2016.
