BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. — The St. Francis College Brooklyn Athletics Department announced the institution’s end of year awards on Monday, June 21.

Following a year in which the Terriers did not compete in men’s water polo due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Zane Drobenko (Jr., Newport Beach, Calif./Sage Hill) and Matteo Nardelli (Fr., Fasano, Italy/IISS Da Vinci-Fasano) received Coaches Awards.

In addition, the Athletic Administration honored eight student-athletes, who all graduated this past May with a 3.9 GPA or higher, as the Scholar-Athletes of the Year.  Drobenko was recognized along with Tomas Bernardes (men’s tennis), Victor Masi (men’s golf), Hayden Meeker (men’s golf), Ally Speweik (women’s volleyball), Angie Speweik (women’s volleyball), Jared Thomas (men’s track & field), and Marta Zori (women’s basketball) for their academic success.
