BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY – The St. Francis College Brooklyn men’s water polo team concluded its home matches for the weekend with a 12-9 victory over the Division III No. 7-ranked Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Engineers.

Freshman Djorde Stanic scored two goals and registered a pair of assists, while junior William Lapkin added two goals and added an assist to accompany a pair of goals from senior Bogdan Kostic.

Senior Nikita Prokhin added his name to the scoresheet, scoring for the Terriers in the third quarter with 1:46 left in the period, followed by freshman Cody-Alexander Jones who convered on a man-up play with 30 seconds left on the clock as the Terriers took a 10-5 lead into the fourth quarter.

Tadeu Rodrigues, Botond Kadar, Jonas Veazey and Alexander Teplitsky each added a single tally, concluding the game in the Terriers’ favor. Teplitsky’s goal came at the 2:06 mark in the fourth, and it would seal the win for the Terriers.
