BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Matheus Santos (Sr., Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Avanco) of No. 16-ranked St. Francis College Brooklyn tallied 15 points on seven goals and eight assists with four steals and four drawn exclusions during a 3-1 league week for the Terriers in New York to earn recognition as the October 7 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Player of the Week.

Following a 14-12 overtime win at Iona College on Wednesday, October 2, Santos aided St. Francis Brooklyn’s cause at home on Saturday, October 5, by notching four goals and two assists in a 17-9 defeat of Division III No. 3 the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to commence a string of three Brooklyn site games over the remainder of the weekend.  He added a goal and two assists versus Brown University during a 16-14 win later in the day prior to racking up two goals and four assists during a 17-15 loss to No. 10 Harvard University on Sunday, October 6.
