BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Vladimir Mickic (Fr., Subotica, Serbia/Nikola Tesla) of No. 14-ranked St. Francis College Brooklyn scored six times to lead the Terriers to a 3-0 mark at the Bucknell University Invitational and earn recognition as the September 23 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Rookie of the Week.
The September 16 NWPC Player and Rookie of the Week, Mickic picks up his third weekly honor nod in two weeks following a weekend in which St. Francis Brooklyn handled No. 14 George Washington University (11-7 W), Division III No. 10 Johns Hopkins University (16-13 W) and Washington & Jefferson College (25-5 W).
He began the weekend with a hat-trick against George Washington prior to finding the back of the net once versus Johns Hopkins. In the Bucknell Invitational finale, Mickic tallied a pair of goals to help the Terriers take down Washington and Jefferson.
