BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA)/Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC)/Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) officials Alex Stankevitch, Tony Karaman and Stephanie VIllalobos are among 12 referees nominated by USA Water Polo to the World Aquatics referee list for the 2025-2028 quadrennium.
Stankevitch is among nine referees who return to the list, while Villalobos and Karaman join Mike Stewart as additions to the list.
The only referee not returning in 2025 is CWPA official Joe Peila who recently retired from international competition representing USA Water Polo at numerous major events including the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
