BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — In the shadow of the Coronavirus/COVID-19, it is crucial to remember the doctors, nurses, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and other frontline staff facing the virus head-on today – April 7, World Health Day.
Each year, the world health organization sponsors a theme for World Health Day – with 2020 being “Support nurses and midwives.” Although the theme highlights nurses, it is critical to also recall the residents, physicians and medical staff who sacrifice their time, energy, efforts and personal safety for the needs of the many who are struggling with the direct and indirect impact of the Coronavirus.
