BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Madeline Pautsch and Sidney Shimomura of No. 18-ranked the United States Air Force Academy combined for 23 goals during a 4-0 weekend for the Falcons in league competition to share status as the February 24 Women’s Collegiate Club Rocky Mountain Division Player of the Week.
Competing at the University of New Mexico’s Johnson Center in Albuquerque, N.M., the pair helped the Falcons ground the University of Colorado (11-6 W), Colorado State University (10-7 W), the University of Denver (12-4 W) and the Colorado School of Mines (8-7 W).
Pautsch scored recorded a trio of hat-tricks with three or more goals against Colorado (three), Denver (three) and Colorado State (four) along with a pair of markers versus Colorado Mines.
Shimomura chipped in a pair of hat-tricks with six (vs. Denver) and three (vs. Colorado) strikes to go along with a pair versus Colorado State and a single tally facing Colorado Mines.
