BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The United States Naval Academy welcomes Biola University, Bucknell University, California Lutheran University, George Washington University, Iona College, Johns Hopkins University, Mount St. Mary’s University, Mt. San Antonio College, Princeton University, Salem University, the University of California to Lejeune Hall and Scott Natatorium on Saturday-Sunday, September 3-4, for the 2022 season-opening Navy Open.

Competition begins on Saturday, September 3, in Lejeune Hall with 10 games as the host Midshipmen face Biola (8:00 a.m.), Princeton tangles with George Washington (9:15 a.m.), Johns Hopkins battles California (10:30 a.m.) and Salem takes on Mt. San Antonio (11:45 a.m.) in morning competition. 

The day at Lejeune concludes with Bucknell-vs.-Cal Lutheran (1:00 p.m.), Biola-vs.-George Washington (2:15 p.m.), California-vs.-Iona (3:30 p.m.), Navy-vs.-Princeton (4:45 p.m.), Cal Lutheran-vs.-Johns Hopkins (6:00 p.m.) and Mt. San Antonio-vs.-Bucknell (7:15 p.m.).

A pair of games will also occur across the Naval Academy grounds in Scott Natatorium as Mount St. Mary’s meets Iona (10:30 a.m.) and Salem (4:45 p.m.).

Competition is split between Lejeune and Scott on Sunday, September 4, for the final 12 games of the weekend.

At Lejeune, action returns at 8:00 a.m. as California faces Princeton.  Navy-vs.-Cal Lutheran (9:15 a.m.), George Washington-vs.-Mt. San Antonio (10:30 a.m.), Navy-vs.-California (12:15 p.m.), Iona-vs.-Cal Lutheran (1:30 p.m.) and Mount St. Mary’s-vs.-Mt. San Antonio (2:45 p.m.) occur prior to the weekend finale at 4:00 p.m. pitting Salem versus Johns Hopkins.

At Scott, Bucknell meets Iona at 8:00 a.m. prior to Mount St. Mary’s-vs.-Biola, Princeton-vs.-Johns Hopkins (10:30 a.m.), Bucknell-vs.-Biola (12:15 p.m.) and Salem-vs.-George Washington (1:30 p.m.) accounting for the remainder of the weekend docket.
