BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Aiden Day (Fr., Oceanside, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) racked up a team-high nine goals with three assists during a 4-0 weekend for No. 19-ranked the United States Naval Academy at the Salem Invitational hosted by Salem University at the Aquatic Center at Mylan Park to earn status as the September 25 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Player of the Week.
A first-time weekly honor recipient from the league office, Day dinged Mount St. Mary’s University with three goals in a 16-7 MAWPC league win on Saturday, September 23. He closed out the day with two goals and three helpers in a 17-14 management of Salem.
On Sunday, September 24, Day delivered a pair of goals in a 17-9 victory over McKendree University prior to tacking on a pair of tallies to help the Midshipmen sink Gannon by a 14-5 final score.
