BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Aiden Day (Fr., Oceanside, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) tallied seven goals with a pair of assists and four steals during a 3-0 weekend for No. 19-ranked the United States Naval Academy to garner the October 9 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Rookie of the Week award.

A two-time weekly honor recipient from the league office following Player of the Week kudos on September 25, he helped the Midshipmen sink Division III No. 7 Johns Hopkins University (19-10 W) and Connecticut College (19-6 W) in Annapolis, Md., prior to aiding Navy in penning host Bucknell Unviersity (14-12 W) in Lewisburg, Pa.

He opened the weekend with two goals, two assists and a steal in a MAWPC defeat of Johns Hopkins on Friday, October 6.  After sitting out the game versus Connecticut on Saturday, October 7, he capped off his weekend by slinging in five goals with a team-high three steals to help the Midshipmen clip the host Bison of Bucknell on Sunday, October 8.
