BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Camryn Delaney (Jr., Cardiff, Calif./La Costa Canyon) of the United States Naval Academy accounted for 15 goals, five assists and 20 steals with pair of field blocks during 78 minutes of action at the first Women’s Collegiate Club Atlantic Division tournament of the season hosted at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.  For her performance, Midshipmen 2/c Delaney is awarded regard as the February 26 Women’s Collegiate Club Atlantic Division Player of the Week.

Delaney started the women’s water polo club at Navy six weeks ago and instructed each athlete on the team about the sport leading up to the inaugural Atlantic Division tournament on Saturday-Sunday, February 24-25, at James Madison.

She helped the Midshipmen defeat the No. 19-ranked the University of Virginia (11-8 W), the University of Tennessee (11-7 W), the University of North Carolina (15-9 W) and the University of Maryland (12-10 W) as Navy is tied a top the Atlantic Division standings with Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University with 4-0 records.
