BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Anne Rankin (So., Newport Beach, Calif./Newport Harbor) of No. 8-ranked the University of Michigan posted four goals and three assists during a 2-1 weekend at No. 14 San Diego State University to earn status as the March 8 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.
A three-time Rookie of the Week selection during the abbreviated 2020 season with honors on January 20, February 24 and March 2, Rankin aided the Wolverines to garner a 12-11 overtime win against the Aztecs in the first game on Saturday, March 6.
Her best performance of the week came in the nightcap as she buried four goals, handed out an assist and grabbed a steal in an 11-10 defeat of San Diego State.
On Sunday, March 7, she chipped in a pair of assists with two drawn exclusions as the Wolverines suffered a 7-6 overtime setback versus SDSU.
