BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Moira Williams (Fr., Davis, Calif./Davis) of the University of California-Irvine posted five goals, eight assists, 10 steals and a field block in a 2-1 weekend to lead Anteaters to a Third Place finish at the Women’s Collegiate Club Southwest Division Championship hosted by San Diego State University. For her performance, Williams earns recognition as the division’s April 23 Player of the Week.
She aided UC-Irvine’s cause in topping the University of California-San Diego “B” (7-2 W) prior to suffering a 7-1 setback against UC-San Diego’s “A” squad (7-1 L). In the Third Place game, she helped the Anteaters down San Diego State University “B” (6-4 W).
