BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Hayley Suraci (Jr., Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton) scored twice in a 5-1 Women’s Collegiate Club Southeast Division Championship title game victory over the University of Central Florida and added an assist with seven steals to garner laurels as the division’s April 9 Player of the Week.
The starting center defender for the Gators’ “A” team, she did not allow a goal against Emory University (16-2 W) and UCF during the tournament following a 16-1 defeat of Florida “B” to key Florida to the division crown and a spot in the 16-team field for the Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore., on Friday-Sunday, May 4-6.
