BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Caroline Anderson (Sr., Palo Alto, Calif./Henry M. Gunn) of No. 9-ranked the University of Michigan registered two goals and two assists in a 9-7 comeback win over No. 13 Indiana University to collect April 2 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week honors.

Facing the host Hoosiers in Bloomington, Ind., Anderson scored two goals in the final 8:31 of the game and also had an assist to help the Wolverines overcome a 4-2 halftime deficit in capturing the program’s first conference win of the 2018 campaign.

She now leads the team with 82 points and 54 assists.

The award marks the fifth weekly honor bestowed on Anderson during her tenure in Ann Arbor, Mich., as she previously garnered laurels as the January 25 Rookie of the Week in 2015, shared the February 29 Player of the Week award in 2016 with Eleanor Marrs ’16 of Bucknell University and notched laurels as the May 15 Player of the Week last season.  Further, it is her second award of the 2018 season as she shared the March 12 Player of the Week accolade with Lena Kotanchyan (So., Moscow, Russia/Elk Island School) of No. 12 Hartwick College.
