BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Kathy Rogers (Fr., New Forest, England/Trinity School) posted five goals, two assists, eight steals and two field blocks in a 4-0 weekend for No. 9-ranked the University of Michigan during the Loyola Marymount University LMU Invitational in Los Angeles, Calif., to earn recognition as the March 19 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie of the Week.
A first-time weekly honor recipient from the league office, she notched an assist with two steals in a 17-6 victory over No. 23 California Baptist University prior to adding a goal with an assist and four steals versus Fresno Pacific University in an 18-3 win.
Rogers closed out the weekend with two goals, a steal, a field block and one exclusion drawn in topping No. 16 Loyola Maryount University (13-3 W) before adding two goals, a steal and a field block against No. 19 San Jose State University (12-8 W).
