DAVIS, Calif. — The University of California-Davis seeks an assistant men’s and women’s water polo coach.

Under the general direction of the men’s & women’s water polo head coaches, assist in all aspects of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men’s & women’s water polo programs including student recruitment, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, and administration of the men’s & women’s water polo programs in full compliance with NCAA and university rules and regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Complete and pass the National Collegiate Athletic Association Recruiting Examination per NCAA bylaw 12.1, 2.2.1 and be CPR & First Aid certified bi-annually.
  • Collegiate coaching and experience in the sport of water polo.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the rules and strategies of water polo. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, Big West Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.
