BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Bri Chew (Gr., Glendora, Calif./Glendora) and Jessenia Barberena (So., Monterey Park, Calif./Mark Keppel) of the University of California-Irvine share honors as the April 15 Women’s Collegiate Club Southwest Division Player of the Week.
The duo helped the Anteaters finish in Third Place at the Southwest Division Championship hosted by San Diego State University as UC-Irvine defeated the University of California-San Diego “B” (8-3 W) and the University of Arizona (7-5 W) to accompany a 10-5 loss to the University of California-San Diego “A”. In addition, the team downed the University of San Diego by an 11-3 count in an exhibition game.
