BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — TJ Turner (Jr., Escondido, Calif./San Pasqual) of defending National Champion the University of California-San Diego racked up 10 goals, an assist and six steals as the Tritons outscored their foes 41-12 at the 2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Southwest Division Championship hosted by the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz., on Saturday-Sunday, October 26-27. For his offensive heroics, Turner is recognized as the division’s October 28 Player of the Week.
He score five goals in helping UCSD top the host Wildcats (13-2 W) prior to chipping in a solo marker as the Tritons took down Arizona State University “A” (9-3 W) on Saturday, October 26. In the division title game versus Southwest Division archrival San Diego State University “A”, he accounted for four goals as his team captured the title and the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship hosted by the University of Florida on Friday-Sunday, November 8-10, in Gainesville, Fla., at the O’Connell Center.
