BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Weston Restad (Jr., Murrieta, Calif.) scored twice in a semifinal victory over San Diego State University and posted three goals – including a pair in overtime – versus the University of California-Los Angeles at the 2021 Pacific Coast/Southwest Division Championship to claim status as the November 1 Pacific Coast Division Player of the Week.

Competing at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz., Restad and the Tritons topped fellow Pacific Coast institution California Polytechnic State University, 11-7, in their opening game prior to downing San Diego State University of the Southwest Division via an 11-6 count in the semifinals.

In  the weekend championship game versus Pacific Coast Division nemesis UCLA, Restad scored three times as UC-San Diego punched the program’s ticket to the 2021 National Collegiate Club Championship in Huntsville, Alabama, on November 12-14, by downing the Bruins by a 9-6 count in overtime.

Overall, he concluded the weekend with five goals, two assists, four steals and a trio of field blocks.
