BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — University of Central Florida Alumna Kristin Plitnick ’17 of St. Thomas Aquinas was named the 2026 Miami Herald‘s Broward (Fla.) Girls’ Water Polo Coach of the Year.
She wins Girls’ Coach of the Year honors after guiding the Raiders’ girls through a dominant run through the regional playoffs, which included lopsided wins over Cooper City, Miami Country Day and Western. Aquinas’ march to the state final four was powered by Miami Herald Player of the Year Riley Andres, who led the nation in scoring with 282 goals.
