BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Jackson Walker (Jr., Greenwich, Conn./Brunswick School) registered 14 goals, 10 assists, 10 steals and a trio of field blocks during a 3-1 weekend for the University of Connecticut in Men’s Collegiate Club Colonial Division competition hosted by Wesleyan University. For his performance, Walker receives the division’s October 5 Player of the Week award.
UConn – which wrapped up its regular season Colonial Division docket with a 6-2 record to clinch a runner-up finish in the division’s regular season standings and lock-up the No. 4 seed for the impending Colonial/North Atlantic Divisions Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 17-18, at Middlebury College – topped Worcester Polytechnic Institute (16-10 W, 15-8 W) and Wesleyan (19-11 W). Connecticut’s lone losses during the regular season came versus the University of Massachusetts which downed the Huskies 13-10 on Saturday, September 19, in the season-opener at Wesleyan prior to taking a 12-9 victory on Saturday, October 3, also at Wesleyan.
