BRIDGEPORT, Pa.. — Goalie Saahil Naik (Sr., Windereme, Fla./Olympia) made 31 saves with a goal, three assists, 11 steals and a field block during a 2-1 weekend for the Gators’ “A” team at the combined Florida/Southeast Divisions Championship hosted by Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla.  For his performance, Naik is named the November 1 Florida Division Player of the Week.

Pulling double-duty as the team’s primary netminder while also contributing minutes and offense in the field, Naik posted an 89 percent save mark to go along with a goal, two assists and a steal in a 19-4 defeat of the University of Tennessee.  Competing against the University of Alabama (16-13 W) in the semifinals and host Florida State (11-10 L) in the title game, he finished the weekend with 31 saves and seven steals in cage to accompany a goal, three assist and four steal in the field.
