BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The University of Indianapolis, located in Indianapolis, Ind., seeks a men’s and women’s club water polo coach. This is a part-time, nine month position working 19 hours or less per week. The individual selected will perform the responsibilities as directed by the Associate Vice President for Athletics and Campus Wellness. Responsibilities include but are not limited to instruction, the coordination of practices, game organization, recruiting, fundraising and other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run all aspects of a collegiate club water polo program with minimal supervision.
  • Instruct and coach student athletes in the sport as well as sport-related topics.
  • Recruit and retain student participants.
  • Schedule, organize, and conduct practices and competitions.
  • Support student-athletes’ academic progress.
  • Assist in administrating the program’s budget.
  • Participate in and assist with fundraising activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • CPR certification
  • Previous collegiate and/or high school playing and/or coaching experience is required.
  • Additional qualifications include a commitment to the philosophy and the policies of the University of Indianapolis. The individual must have quality writing and speaking skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with student-athletes, parents, faculty, administrators and outside constituents.
