BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The University of Iowa’s Avery Born (Fr., Arlington Heights, Ill./John Hersey) posted eight goals, seven assists, seven steals and two field blocks in 105 minutes of competition at Purdue University to earn notice as the February 17 Women’s Collegiate Club Big Ten Division Player of the Week.
She helped the Hawkeyes’ split with Purdue (9-5 W, 10-8 L), defeat the University of Wisconsin (15-6 W) and hold their own versus the University of Illinois (10-9 L) as the team concludes the regular season with a 4-4 mark in Big Ten Division action.
