BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Kata Utassy (Fr., Budapest, Hungary/Konyves Kalman Secondary School) scored nine goals during a 4-0 week for the No. 7-ranked University of Michigan Wolverines to claim accolades as the April 12 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie of the Week.
A two-time Rookie of the Week after receiving previous honors on March 1, Utassy dished out an assist and a steal in a 5-4 victory on Monday, April 5, at No. 13 University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. She followed up the performance with a goal and two steals in a 9-3 managing of the Tigers on Tuesday, April 6.
In league competition, she pumped in three goals with a steal in a 15-6 defeat of No. 21/host Bucknell University on Sunday, April 11, prior to racking up five goals, three assists and a steal in a 20-3 victory over Saint Francis University.
