BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — University of Michigan water polo rising sophomore Ava Morrant (Maple Ridge, B.C./Maple Ridge Secondary) scored once as Team Canada finished in Fourth Place at the 2019 World University Summer Games in Naples, Italy, courtesy a 22-7 loss to the Russian Federation in the Bronze Medal game.

Morant, who played in 27 games with eight goals, four assists, seven steals and three field blocks for Michigan in 2019, is continued a tradition of international appearances. She helped lead the Canadian 19U national team to a gold medal at the 2018 Pan American Games and a 10th-place finish at the 2018 FINA Youth World Championships. She also earned a bronze medal at the 2017 17U Pan American Games.
