BRIDGEPORT, Pa — Emma Gustafsson (Fr., Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) of No. 8-ranked the University of Michigan netted 12 points during a 4-0 weekend for the Wolverines at the Indiana Classic hosted by the University of Indiana. For her performance, Gustafsson is named the February 19 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie of the Week.
A two-time Rookie of the Week selection with prior recognition on January 22, Gustafsson helped the Wolverines down Salem University (17-1 W), Iona University (19-9 W) and California State University (17-9 W).
Following a 5-0 forfeit win versus Saint Francis University in CWPA competition to open the weekend on Saturday, February 17, Gustafsson took to the water and posted four goals with a pair of assists and a steal in a defeat of Salem. On Sunday, February 18, she capped off the weekend by racking up four goals and two assists versus Iona prior to tacking on a steal to help the Wolverines top Cal Baptist.
