BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The University of Michigan’s Erin Neustrom (Jr., Moraga, Calif./Campolindo) is among 14 athletes to earn a position on the 2021 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women’s Water Polo Championship All-Tournament Team.

A 2020 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Honorable Mention All-America selection, she totaled three drawn exclusions in a 9-5 first round loss by the No. 7-ranked Wolverines to No. 4 Arizona State University on Friday, May 14, at the University of California-Los Angeles’ (UCLA) Spieker Aquatics Center. 

A Second Team All-Tournament selection, she is joined on the team by Jahmea Bent and Val Ayala of UCLA, Jewel Roemer of Stanford University, Justine Castro of Marist College, Emily Nicholson of Fresno State University and Carmen Boringo Romero of the University of Hawaii.

The University of Southern California (USC) – which claimed the NCAA Championship with an 18-9 defeat of the host Bruins on Sunday, May 16 – claimed three First Team nods as tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP) Maud Megens, Denise Mammolito and goalie Holly Parker garnered recognition.  Ava Johnson and Brooke Maxson (UCLA), Sarah Klass (Stanford) and Bente Rogge (Arizona State) also earned First Team status.
