BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Erin Neustrom (So., Moraga, Calif./Campolindo) of No. 10-ranked the University of Michigan scored seven goals during a 2-2 weekend for the Wolverines at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational hosted by the University of California-Irvine to earn status as the February 24 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.

A two-time weekly honor recipient from the league office after previously earning the April 15 Rookie of the Week award during the 2019 season, Neustrom added nine drawn exclusions during the weekend to surpass the 100 mark for her career.

She opened the weekend by scoring the game-winning goal in overtime as the Wolverines downed No. 7 University of California, 11-10 OT.  Neustrom finished the game with two goals and three drawn exclusions.

Following a 7-2 loss to No. 2 University of California-Los Angeles, she netted pairs of goals and drawn exclusions in a 9-8 loss to host/No. 6 UC-Irvine.

In the tournament’s Seventh Place game versus No. 9 University of California-Santa Barbara, Neustrom finished with a hat-trick and three drawn exclusions in a 5-4 defeat of the Gauchos.
