BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Erin Neustrom (Jr., Moraga, Calif./Campolindo) of No. 7-ranked the University of Michigan drew three ejectiosns in a 9-5 loss to No. 4 Arizona State University in the first round of the 2021 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women’s Water Polo Championship at the University of California-Los Angeles.  For her prowess, she claims notice as the May 17 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week.

A four-time weekly honor recipient from the league office after garnering previous Rookie of the Week (April 15, 2019) and Player of the Week (February 24, 2021; April 26, 2021) honors, she was the lone Wolverines’ athlete named to the All-Tournament team by claiming Second Team status.
