BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Jillian Schlom (Fr., Huntington Beach, Calif./Corona Del Mar) of No. 10-ranked the University of Michigan racked up a team-high six assists to go along with three goals in helping the Maize & Blue to a 4-0 record at home during the 2024 Wolverine Invitational in Canham Natatorium. For her performance, Schlom garners her inaugural weekly honor from the league office by earning status as the January 29 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie of the Week.
She opened the weekend by scoring once in an 18-2 conference defeat of Saint Francis University prior to denting the twine again in a 14-9 victory over No. 21 Long Island University on Saturday, January 27.
On Sunday, January 28, she contributed a goal and an assist in a 15-5 managing of Marist College. Later in the day, she handed out five assists and grabbed a steal to help the Wolverines stymie Salem University by a 20-3 score.
