BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Libby Alsemgeest (Fr., Hamilton, New Zealand/St. Cuthbert’s College) of No. 7-ranked the University of Michigan contributed two goals, an assist, a pair of steals and an exclusion drawn during a 2-0 home weekend versus Salem University to earn recognition as the March 29 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie of the Week.
Facing the Tigers in a pair of games on Saturday, March 27, Alsemgeest notched a goal, an assist and a steal in a 19-2 victory prior to adding a goal and a steal in a 16-5 win.
The award marks the third Rookie of the Week nod for Alsemgeest who previously earned the accolade on February 22 and March 22.
