BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Maddie O’Reilly (Jr., Villanova, Pa./Episcopal Academy) is among 76 University of Michigan student-athletes to earn recognition as 2018-19 Big Ten Distinguished Scholars.
The list includes student-athletes who recorded a minimum grade-point average of 3.7 or higher for the previous academic year. The Wolverines’ list is comprised of 30 men and 46 women across 21 sports.
O’Reilly finished her sophomore season with 16 goals, 16 assists and 10 steals in 29 games as Michigan claimed its fourth consecutive league championship and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship berth. For her career, Reilly has posted 37 goals and 23 assists with 20 steals in the span of 56 games.
