BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Maddie O’Reilly (Gr., Villanova, Pa./Episcopal Academy) of No. 7-ranked the University of Michigan compiled four goals, seven assists and four steals during a 2-0 weekend at the 2022 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Championship hosted by Bucknell University to earn recognition as the April 25 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.

The Most Valuable Player of the league championship, O’Reilly posted a goal and five assists in a 14-7 defeat of No. 22 Brown University on Saturday, April 23, prior to chipping in three goals, two assists and four steals in a 10-4 victory over No. 19 Harvard University in the title tilt on Sunday, April 24.

The Player of the Week nod marks the eighth in the past three years for O’Reilly who previously claimed recognition on January 27 and March 2 during the COVID-19 abbreviated 2020 season.  Last year, she picked up recognition on February 22, March 1, March 22 and March 29 prior to collecting recognition on March 7 earlier in 2022.
